ABOUT

Welcome to my portfolio!

I’m Cathy Lynne and I make my home here in Michigan with my ​husband, our crazy dog, a 19 year old cat, two parakeets

and two goldfish.

I graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in ​economics, and yes, my blood does run maize and blue! After many ​years in the corporate world, I finally had the chance to follow my ​passion and now enjoy designing patterns EVERYDAY as a surface ​pattern designer.

My inspiration comes from everywhere! I am an avid gardener and ​truly enjoy the unending beauty of nature when I step out my door.

I love color! You will see both quiet harmony and bold expressions of ​it in my patterns of florals, geometrics and abstracts,

as I try to capture what I see and feel.

Much of my work is drawn freehand and scanned into Adobe ​Illustrator for pattern designing and colorway applications. I also use ​watercolor and chalk in some of my designing as I love the look it

creates in the finished work.
